Hockey

My brothers and I played roller hockey growing up. Ice hockey was super expensive to get into, and we really just did it for fun. It wasn't until I was in college that I really became an actual fan of the sport. Before that, my older brother and father would watch the Rangers play, and I'd find it insufferably boring. They won the Stanley Cup in '94 when I was about 2 or 3 years old. We still have some memorabilia from that time, but I don't remember any of it. All that is to say, I'd really like this team to win already. I'm tired of waiting. 2014 broke my heart into little pieces, and all thanks to: The Los Angeles Kings. Bastards.

Bonding at Madison Square Garden
One of my favorite things to do is go see the Rangers play, and the best place to do it is Madison Square Garden. I can't say I'm well-versed in all of the many arenas, but MSG is definitively a great one. It became a tradition for a few years that in lieu of Christmas presents, my brothers and father would chip in and all buy tickets to a game. Great memories there. To this day, any time we talk the Rangers most certainly come up. We'll talk about prospects and players, the direction of the franchise, and of course the laughable tire-fire organization that is the New York Islanders. They totally suck. It's funny.
