Sarah Coplan

I am a graphic designer and artist, currently based in Santa Monica California. My artistic practice utilizes photography
to challenge viewers' accepted forms of visual reality. Through artifice and in-camera techniques, my work reveals an
unknowable realty: something not visible to the naked eye, yet distantly familiar. My photographs suggest that
the mysticism and magic of the unfamiliar are ever-present in the often-overlooked familiar.

When I moved to Los Angeles last summer, I was inspired by the change of scenery and beauty I saw all around me.
In order to keep a journal of photographs and memories as a creative outlet, I started this webpage to share in a public way.
